NFL Veteran’s Wife Sparks Divorce Rumors with Mysterious Cryptic Message—What’s Really Going On?

Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland was arrested for DUI in Georgia last month, and weeks later he’s filed for divorce from his wife. In the divorce filing, Cleveland alleged that his wife Kaitlyn cheated on him.

Kaitlyn Terrell Cleveland hasn’t spoken publicly on the divorce, but she posted song lyrics to social media that appeared to address the situation.

She shared lyrics from a Kelsea Ballerini song that included the quote “The rumors goin’ ’round, but the truth is kinda nuanced. I wanna set it straight, but my lawyer says I shouldn’t.”

The song is about Ballerini’s own divorce from Morgan Evans, as well as the reaction to the end of their relationship from fans and others online and on social media.

Ben Cleveland has also not commented on the divorce or his DUI arrest, but he is set to become a free agent when the NFL’s new league year begins next week.

The divorce filings also show the date of separation as December 29, 2024, suggesting that their differences date back months rather than weeks.

Cleveland filed from divorce from his wife in the same county that he was arrested in – Baldwin County, Georgia. Local authorities administered a breathalyzer test, and police say he blew a .178 – more than twice the legal limit.

Cleveland has played for the Ravens since 2021, the same year he was drafted in the third round out of the University of Georgia. He also met Kaitlyn at Georgia, and the two were engaged in 2020. After his rookie season in the NFL, they were married in July of 2022.

Cleveland’s season ended with the Ravens in the AFC’s divisional round, when they lost to the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens won the AFC North for the second straight year, but they still haven’t been able to get back to the Super Bowl in the Lamar Jackson era.

Jackson nearly won a third MVP in Baltimore this season, but the honor eventually went to Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

We’ll see what happens with Cleveland’s professional life when free agency begins, but it appears that he’s got some issues to deal with off the field as well.
